Status Effects affect the Player and NPCs in different ways when it comes to combat. The Player can see their own Status Effects on the Inventory Screen, or when receiving a successful hit from an NPC. NPC Status Effects can be seen when attacking an NPC.

Drunk

Not yet in effect in the game.

Blinded

Whenever a Player or NPC successfully attacks with Pepper Spray, the Blinded status will fill in according to the Player's Armed Combat skill level (and perhaps the NPC's Armed Combat skill level as well). When the Player's Blinded status is partially filled in, the Player's view is limited to a rough circle of visibility which is surrounded by darkness. Once the Player's Blinded status is filled in completely, the Player's surroundings disappear.

Stunned

As of 7/23/2012, the Stunned Status only affects NPCs. When the Player successfully attacks an NPC with a Stun Rod, the Stunned status will fill in according to the Player's Armed Combat skill level (and perhaps the NPC's Armed Combat skill level as well). Once the NPC's Stunned status is filled in completely, the NPC cannot move or attack. The Player can then use Electrocuffs to capture the NPC (or can enslave the NPC to turn it into one unit of Slaves, provided that the NPC is a hostile pilot stunned aboard your ship) After stunning a person you can also walk into them to take their items.

Poisoned

Not yet in effect in the game.
